Welcome
This is a collection of 165 robot embodiments, the design metaphors people use to describe them, and the expectations users place on them. For example, when a robot looks like a dog, people expect it to behave like a dog. Our dataset compiles these design metaphors across socially interactive robots.
If you design robots, this dataset can help you justify your design choices. If you perform user studies in Human-Robot Interaction, this dataset can inform which robot you should use for your application based on social and functional requirements.
